This is to let people know how things are going - and that I haven't fallen under any buses (or transport of any kind) while I am in the US in mid-late 2009.
Just to start off, here is my travel plans

22 September - 7 October Grand Canyon
9 October - 13 October San Francisco, California
We no longer hold the shield got done like a dinner, with 10 minutes to go the score was 36-0 it finished up 36-14 I think they must have felt sorry for us.

ReplyDeleteWellington thrashed Counties 62-19 it looks like now that the shield monkey is of their back the real Wellington team has come out to play.
Cricket. Black caps were thrashed in both tests bu they have won the 20/20 series two nil the first game by 3 runs and game 2 by 20 runs last night.

ReplyDeleteRugby The Cantabs went down to Bay of plenty but not for the shield.
the Aussies beat the South Africans 26-06 leaving the door open for NZ to still sneak into the try nations but I don't think there is much hope as NZ has to win both games with a bonus point and stop the South Africans from gaining a bonus point. Well that is your sport up to date love Dad.
The Lions have lost another one this time against Taranaki and no bonus point either. At this rate you will not be coming back to watch them play in the finals This was the first time Taranaki has won against them in twenty years. Springboks All Blacks test this Saturday I will let you know the result on Sunday Dad.
ReplyDeleteBlack cops got anothe hiding in the one day comp. this time by India we batted ist. and India only needed 42 overs to pass our 140 odd. Southland are the top of the NPC after beating Bay Of Plenty who were top last week. Tasman olso beat Waikato & Counties thrashed Northland All the main teams appear to be getting beaten by the minos Otago is having a second bite at the Ranfurly shield this afternoon and the South African All Black test is tonight I will let you know the scores tomorrow Dad.
ReplyDeleteWell mate NZ lost to SA by 3 the score was 29-32 we were done like a dinner for the most of 60 minutes and after that played like men possesed so SA are the tri.nations champs next week the Ausies if we loose to them we will be last in the tri.nations. Otago did not get the shield done like a dinner. North harbour are last in th NPC ater a hiding from Hawks Bay Southland and Caterbury are on top of the table. Dad
ReplyDeleteWellington are slowly going down hill loosing to Waikato last night Canterbury still hold the shield with Taranaki giving them a good run for their money to no avail. I will let you know how the All Blacks go against Ausie I am picking the All Blacks by more than 13 Dad.
ReplyDeleteWell the Ausies got their bums wacked in Wellington by 33-6 so all is forgiven with the All Blacks for a while I did not go to the game but enjoyed it all the same. In the NPC Hawkes Bay beat Otago by heaps ans Auckland was beaten by the bottom of the table Northj Harbour the standing at the moment for the top five is as follows. Canterbury, Southland, Bay Of Plenty, Hawks Bay, Auckland. Well all the best looking foward to more news Love Dad.
ReplyDeleteThe Rugby is still going and atlast we had a good victory against Southland.And would you beleave it but the black caps made the semi finals today after beating England. South Africa and Shrilanka both were knocked out of the cup in NZ part of the draw. by the time you come out of the river it should all be over.
ReplyDeleteOnce again another great victory this time against Manawatu by 43 to 15 and we are now third over all so you may still be able to watch a home semi when you get back as long as they keep playing the way they are at the moment, although there is a real log jamb behind them. Further news the black caps are in the ICC final against Australia after beating Pakistan well this morning. I hope this will give you some good feelings once you can read this although by that time there will be more results to tell you about. I hope you enjoyed the big trip down the Grand Canyon in the rubber ducky. Regards Dad

Wellington had another good win on Sunday against Northland we are still third behind Canterbury and Hawksbay although they are playing each other so providing that we win against North harbour we should be in second place that is offcourse if The bay don't win as the cantabs have plenty of points up their sleave and as it is not a Ranfurly shield match thjere will not be to much at steak for them. the game against North Harbour is at the stadium on Saturday at 2-30 I will be at Nicks wedding so I will try and give your ticket and mine to your mum to give to you when she meets you off the plane all the best Dad
